Three Charter Schools Voluntarily Terminate Their Contracts with The School Board of Broward County, Florida

Broward County Public Schools issued the following news release on September 13, 2012:

 

 

Three Charter Schools Voluntarily Terminate Their Contracts with the School Board of Broward County, Florida

Students and Parents can register at their District “home” school or call for additional assistance

 

On Tuesday September 11, 2012, the governing board of Touchdowns4life Charter School voted to voluntarily terminate its charter contract with The School Board of Broward County, Florida.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2012, the management company of Eagle Charter Academy and SMART Charter School sent home a letter to parents informing them that both schools would be closing their doors to students on Friday, September 14, 2012.~ The letter stated that the closures are due to low enrollment. On Thursday, September 13, 2012, the governing boards of both Eagle Charter Academy and SMART Charter School informed the District that they had voted to voluntarily terminate the charter contracts that they have with The School Board of Broward County, Florida.

We welcome the students of Eagle Charter Academy, SMART Charter School and Touchdowns4life Charter School to attend their District “home” school.
