Stephanie “Stella” Duran is an associate attorney in the litigation practice group at Colodny Fass, focusing primarily on first party property insurance defense matters. Prior to joining Colodny Fass, Ms. Duran worked as an attorney representing clients in litigation matters involving first party property, from inception to settlement.
Ms. Duran’s passion for litigation and justice was fostered throughout her time in law school at Nova Southeastern University, as she participated in Nova Trial Association’s First Annual Intermural Competition, worked as an intern at the Palm Beach and Broward Public Defender’s offices, and interned at Coast-to-Coast Legal Aid, gaining first-hand experience advocating for the rights of others.
While attending law school, Ms. Duran received honors as the Silver Award Recipient of the Dean’s Certificate of Professionalism Pro Bono Honor Program, and was active in the university’s Cuban American Bar Association, and served as Treasurer of the National Security and Law Society and of the Hispanic Student Bar Association.
Prior to receiving her Florida Bar license, Ms. Duran worked as a law clerk where she gained experience in various areas of law including first party property, misdemeanor domestic violence, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, trust, condominium and homeowner association law.
