James Guanciale is an associate attorney in the litigation practice group at Colodny Fass focusing primarily on first party property insurance defense. Prior to joining Colodny Fass, Mr. Guanciale worked as an in-house litigator at a large property insurance company in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Hailing from Syracuse, New York, Mr. Guanciale graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in May 2021, where he was an Associate Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. While attending the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Guanciale worked on insurance defense, contract disputes, construction defect, subrogation actions, family law, and church law, among other matters, during summer associateships in multiple jurisdictions. As a law student, Mr. Guanciale also worked with nonprofit entities in the Detroit area via the Community Enterprise Clinic, assisting in permitting matters, the drafting of governance documents, and other transactional matters.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Guanciale was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova, assisting the mayor’s office of a small, rural village in the east of the country bordering the unrecognized state of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. In Moldova, he performed grant writing, taught English instruction, and volunteered with numerous local organizations to strengthen civil society. He had previously graduated from Juniata College in central Pennsylvania where he studied Political Science and Sociology.
A member of The Florida Bar, Mr. Guanciale now calls Fort Lauderdale home and seeks to provide zealous legal representation to obtain the best possible outcomes for the clients of Colodny Fass.
