NU Online News Service: NAPSLO Selects Marshall Kath As New President

Marshall Kath of Dallas has been elected president of the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd.

He was named at the NAPSLO annual meeting in Orlando.

Mr. Kath is chairman and chief executive officer of Colemont Corporation. Colemont is the holding company for various Colemont Insurance Brokers’ offices in the U.S., as well as the company’s London and other international offices. Mr. Kath has been with Colemont since its inception in 1992, initially as chief financial officer.

At the same time, Timothy Makowski, of Benchmark Management Group, Naperville, Ill., was named vice president; Letha Heaton, of Admiral Insurance Company, Cherry Hill, N.J., was named secretary; and Robert T. Sargent, of Mercator Risk Services Inc., Hartford, Conn, was named treasurer.

Named for three-year terms to the NAPSLO board were Gregory Crouse of Crouse & Associates Insurance Brokers Inc., San Francisco, Calif.; Gilbert Hine Jr. of McClelland & Hine Inc., San Antonio, Texas; Matthew Nichols, of All Risks, Ltd., Hunt Valley, Md.; Michael Fujii of Endurance American Specialty Insurance Company, New York; and Ms. Heaton of Admiral Insurance Company.
