FLORIDA INSURANCE REGULATORY EVENTS   

 

Tuesday, December 16

Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“FCHLPM”).  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Tallahassee, Florida.  The FCHLPM will discuss the model submissions received under the Standards and Acceptability Process for 2013.  To view the meeting notice click here.

  • Following the FCHLPM meeting, its Flood Standards Development Committee will meet to discuss a working draft of the General Flood Standards, and, time permitting, will begin a discussion of the Meteorological/Hydrological Flood Standards.  To access the complete meeting materials, click here.

Wednesday, January 7

  • Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation Proposed Rule Hearing; 9:00 a.m.  Tallahassee, Florida.  Proposed Rule 69L-6.029, “Employer Worksites,” would implement Chapter 2014-109, Laws of Florida, which amended s. 440.107, F.S.  Under the new law, an employer now has 10 business days instead of five to produce business records following a written request from the Florida Department of Financial Services, or be subject to a Stop Work Order.  To view the hearing notice, click here.
