Error Found in Previously Approved AIR Worldwide Corporation’s Hurricane Loss Model; Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology Calls Emergency Meeting October 26 at 9 a.m.

Because an error recently was discovered in AIR Worldwide Corporation’s (“AIR”) Atlantic Tropical Cyclone Model V12.0, Program CLASIC/2 V12.0, the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“Commission”) has called an emergency Commission teleconference on October 26, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. (ET) to discuss the error, which relates to a software implementation issue.
AIR’s model had been previously reviewed and found to be acceptable by the Commission during its June 8, 2010, meeting.
