Alabama Insurance Department Issues Bulletin Informing All State Insurers of Enactment of Insurance Fraud Investigation and Crime Prevention Act

On June 29, 2012, the Alabama Department of Insurance issued Bulletin No. 2012-03, which informs all insurers licensed in Alabama of the enactment of the Insurance Fraud Investigation Unit and Crime Prevention Act. The Act becomes effective August 1, 2012.
In particular, the Bulletin draws attention to the following: Criminal Offenses, Fraud Unit Assessments, Fraud Warning and Mandatory Reporting Requirements.
