OIR Hearing On Filing of Rates for Health Insurance

On April 11, 2007, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation had a scheduled hearing on Rule 690-149.002 regarding the scope and applicability for filing of rates for health insurance.
However, the hearing was not held because no interested parities requested one.
The proposed Rule amends 690-149.002 regarding filing requirements for the acceleration of the benefits of a life insurance policy that are incidental to the total life insurance coverage.
We have attached a copy of the Rule for your review.
Next, the proposed Rule will go to the Financial Service Commission for final approval. We will have representatives in attendance to monitor this meeting and provide a report.
