Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Seeking Feedback on Workers’ Comp Priority Issues In Advance of February 25 Advisory Board Meeting

As a result of a December 2009 exploratory meeting and subsequent industry feedback, Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Sean Shaw has chosen to proceed with forming an Insurance Consumer Advocate Advisory Group (“Advisory Group”) to review Florida workers’ compensation insurance issues.
The Advisory Group is scheduled to meet in Orlando on February 25, 2010 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. In preparation for this meeting, Mr. Shaw is seeking insurance industry stakeholder input on priority issues for potential consideration.
To meet his request, please forward what you believe to be the top Florida workers’ compensation-related issues in order of priority to Trevor Mask (tmask@cftlaw.com) at Colodny Fass by February 11, 2010.
A copy of the Insurance Consumer Advocate’s meeting announcement is attached for your reference.
A Colodny Fass representative will attend the meeting and provide a full report on the proceedings.
