Florida Department of Revenue: Tax Statements Rule Hearing Report–November 5

On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, the Florida Department of Revenue (“Department”) held a Rule hearing on Proposed Rule 12B-8.003 relating to Tax Statements; Overpayments. Proposed amendments to the Rule adopt changes to forms used by the Department in the administration of the insurance premium tax, and update the information on obtaining form copies from the Department.
The proposed Rule was briefly explained; there was no public comment or testimony during the hearing. To view a copy of the proposed Rule, click here.
Next, the proposed Rule will be heard by the Florida Financial Services Commission for final adoption unless substantive changes have been made to it.
