Sep 22, 2007

“As technology continues to evolve and have a more significant role in our children’s lives, we must take every precaution to keep them safe. That process begins with education and outreach.”
–Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum’s Child Predator CyberCrime Unit is introducing cybersafety into schools statewide. His program, designed to empower children to use the Internet safely,  combines real-life stories and examples to help kids identify on-line danger.

Florida Attorney General Bill McCullom will introduce his school cyber safety education curriculum to Broward County on Oct. 11, 2007 in an event coordinated and hosted by Colodny Fass from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Miramar Town Center/City Hall.

“Broward will be unique among other Florida counties in gathering community support for the Attorney General and his message well in advance of his visit,” event chairman Mike Colodny explained.

An invited audience of educators, child advocates and community leaders will learn about the program directly from the Attorney General and be encouraged to register their schools to participate.

Below is a letter from Howard Talenfeld regarding event sponsorship.
