Commissioners McCarty, Donelon Scheduled to Speak at Louisiana Coastal Insurance Forum on June 16

Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty is scheduled to speak at the “President’s Forum on Meeting Coastal Challenges–Insurability of the Coast” on Monday, June 16, 2008, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Event co-hosts include Louisiana Sea Grant, Louisiana Department of Insurance, America’s Wetland Foundation and the LSU AgCenter.

Forum details are as follows:

Date: Monday, June 16, 2008

Time: 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

Place: Hotel Monteleone, New Orleans, Louisiana

Forum attendance is free, but registration is required and will close on Monday, June 9. To register, click here.

  • Flood insurance
  • Reinsurance
  • Public and private providers
  • Floodplan mapping
  • Comprehensive planning as it relates to natural hazards
