The state’s case against former House Speaker Ray Sansom goes on without a trial date in the immediate future. Circuit Court Judge Terry Lewis met Wednesday morning with attorneys for Sansom and fellow defendants Jay Odom and Bob Richburg as well as state attorney Willie Meggs to discuss the progression of the case.

The defendants still have multiple motions to be argued before the court and Sansom attorney Stephen Dobson said there may be more motions filed in the future. Lewis asked lawyers to return on June 16 and June 18 for hearings on the motions.
