House speaker out, Florida GOP field for governor set for August primary

With Corcoran out of the race, DeSantis, of Palm Coast, is eliminating a rival for the support of ultra-conservative voters. But the contest soon could get heated as Putnam and DeSantis square off to attract primary voters, almost half of whom are undecided, recent polls indicate.
