Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate’s Homeowners’ Policy and Claims Bill of Rights Working Group to Meet August 19

Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Robin Smith Westcott’s Homeowners’ Policy and Claims Bill of Rights Working Group (“Working Group”) will meet Monday, August 19, 2013 in Clearwater, Florida to continue reviewing a slate of draft recommendations on insurance claims handling processes and other related concerns.
Next week’s meeting will be held at the Pinellas Realtors Organization at 4590 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, Florida from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with public testimony scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Working Group will ultimately prepare a comprehensive report providing recommendations for addressing each identified aspect of the insurance claims handling process either administratively or through proposed legislation.
