Monday, December 2

  • Florida Department of Financial Services (“DFS”), Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services Proposed Rule Hearing; 10:00 a.m.  Proposed amendments to Rule 69B-221.155, “Forms for Limited Surety (Bail Bond) Agents,” would adopt the form to be used by the unlicensed personal representative or legal guardian to obtain a temporary permit to operate a bail bond agency after the death or incapacity of the agency’s owner.  The proposed Rule would also adopt the certificate that will be issued once the permit is granted.  To view the hearing notice, click here.

  • Florida DFS, Division of Consumer Services Proposed Rule Hearing; 10:00 a.m.  Proposed amendments to Rule 69J-166.002, “Mediation of Commercial Residential Property Insurance Claims,” and Rule 69J-166.031, “Mediation of Residential Property Insurance Claims,” would update subparagraphs (4)(a)1. of both Rules to conform with changes made by Chapter 2012-151, Laws of Florida, and the opinion of the Third District Court of Appeal in Fernando Subirats v.
