Transcript of NAIC Chinese Drywall Public Hearing Released

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) has published the transcript of a December 7, 2009 public hearing on Chinese drywall. To access the transcript, click here.
Chaired by Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty, the hearing served to assist regulators and insurers in identifying implications arising from the use of allegedly defective Chinese drywall installed in homes across the nation.
The NAIC’s Catastrophe Insurance Working Group of the Property and Casualty Insurance Committee hosted the hearing during the NAIC 2009 Winter Meeting in San Francisco.
