RIMS announces officers for 2011

Scott B. Clark, risk and benefits officer for the Miami-Dade Public Schools in Miami, will begin his term as president of the Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc., Jan. 1, New York-based RIMS announced Tuesday.
Mr. Clark served RIMS as secretary in 2010 and has been a member of the RIMS board since 2000. In 2007, he was named to Business Insurance’s Risk Management Honor Roll.
RIMS also announced that Deborah M. Luthi, risk manager, assurance and internal controls at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, will serve as RIMS vp. John R. Phelps, director of business risk solutions, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Inc. in Jacksonville, will serve as secretary, and Carolyn M. Snow, director-insurance risk management at Humana Inc. in Louisville, Ky., will serve as treasurer.
Mr. Clark succeeds Terry Fleming, director, Division of Risk Management, Montgomery County, Md., in Rockville, as RIMS president.
