Reactions Magazine Names Colodny Fass In Top Two U.S. Insurance Regulatory Law Firms for Third Consecutive Year

Jun 21, 2010

For the third consecutive year, Reactions magazine’s readers have ranked Colodny Fass as one of the top two insurance regulatory law firms in the United States.

Reactions Legal Survey respondents, who consisted primarily of in-house counsel of insurers, reinsurers and brokers, once again rated Colodny Fass above vastly larger, multi-national law firms.

“The increased demand for regulatory-related legal work is clearly evident in our clients’ corresponding need for our services as they expand their insurance operations across the United States,” Colodny Fass Shareholder Mike Colodny said.

This year’s survey results revealed increased respondent concerns over the rapidly evolving global regulatory environment, the resulting heightened demand for corporate solvency and the uncertainty surrounding the ultimate regulatory landscape.  Reactions reported that chief executive officers must focus even more intensely on regulation, try to shape changes where they can, and anticipate and adapt in situations where changes are inevitable.

In addition to legal expertise and ability, other qualities factored into the legal rankings included:  insurance industry knowledge, reliability, value, transparency and reputation.  Survey questions were grouped into geographic regions and areas of expertise.  Respondents were from Bermuda, the U.S., Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Reactions is a monthly magazine that provides detailed global coverage of the insurance and reinsurance industries.
