Louisiana Insurance Department Issues Emergency Rule on Suspension of Certain Statutes and Regulations In Response to Hurricane Isaac

To address concerns resulting from the recent landfall of Hurricane Isaac, the Louisiana Department of Insurance has issued Emergency Rule 2012-26 relating to the suspension of certain statutes and regulations regarding cancellations, non-renewals, reinstatements, premium payments, claim filings and related provisions relating to any and all insurance matters affecting insureds in Louisiana caused by Hurricane Issac. 

The Emergency Rule is effective from August 26, 2012 until September 25, 2012, unless terminated sooner.  To access a copy of the Emergency Rule, click here.
