Mar 24, 2010

Florida Governor Charlie Crist made a brief appearance at today’s Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance meeting to voice his opposition to Senate Bill 876, which would allow Florida property insurers to offer deregulated rates.

In reference to SB 876, the Governor said, “I would encourage you not to pass it.  I just wanted to express my feelings. That’s it.”

The Governor’s statement indicates that he may veto the bill if it is ultimately passed.
