Florida Workers’ Compensation Joint Underwriting Association Producer Committee Reviews Agency Producer Agreement and Fees

Jul 31, 2012

During a brief meeting today, July 31, 2012, the Florida Workers’ Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (“FWCJUA”) Producer Committee (“Committee”) reviewed the FWCJUA’s agency authorization process, as well as approved the agency producer agreement and fees.  The meeting materials are attached.

The Committee also agreed to confirm the agency and designated producer penalty schedule, as well as the Agency and/or Producer Termination, Suspension or Revocation Operations Manual Rule.  No changes to either item were made from the previous year.

The Committee reviewed the mandatory requirements to become an FWCJUA-authorized Agency with Designated Producers, as well as the documents needed to apply for this authorization.  It was noted that the FWCJUA is currently testing an update to its online agency authorization system that was developed to streamline authorization processing and improve data collection.  The upgrade is expected to be functional sometime in August 2012.

After a very short discussion, the Committee confirmed the FWCJUA’s Agency Producer Agreement, which was last revised Sept. 1, 2011.  No additional changes or revisions were made.

In other business, a detailed list of reasons an agency or producer could be terminated, suspended or revoked was briefly reviewed, but no action was required.

The Committee then confirmed the current agency producer fee table.

With no other business left to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
