Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Reminds Insurers Proof of Loss Reports Due June 30, 2017

The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) issued a Bulletin today, June 21, 2017, reminding that FHCF Proof of Loss Reports are due from Participating Insurers no later than June 30, 2017.

The Bulletin is attached for review.

Pursuant to Section 215.555(4)(d), Florida Statutes, and Article X(3)(b)3. of the 2016 FHCF Reimbursement Contract, an insurer whose losses resulting from Hurricane Hermine or Hurricane Matthew have exceeded, or are expected to exceed, 75 percent of the company’s FHCF retention is required to submit Form FHCF-L1B Proof of Loss Report for each applicable hurricane no later than June 30, 2017.
