Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Advisory Council to Vote on Claims-Paying Capacity Estimates at May 15 Meeting

The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida, to vote on May claims-paying capacity estimates.  Teleconference attendance is also available.

Meeting materials, including the agenda and prior meeting’s minutes, are attached.

The Advisory Council will discuss public comments from that morning’s scheduled hearing on proposed Rule 19-8.028, which would adopt the FHCF 2014-2015 Reimbursement Premium Formula and Reimbursement Premium Rates, if the hearing is requested and held.  To view the hearing notice and proposed Rule text, click here.

The meeting agenda includes an update from FHCF Chief Operating Officer Dr. Jack Nicholson on Florida’s 2014 Legislative Session and the 2014-2015 Contract Year FHCF Structure.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (“DEM”) is expected to report on the Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program, a statewide grant plan funded annually by the Florida Legislature.
