Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Advisory Council Meets Tomorrow To Approve October 2016 Estimated Claims-Paying Capacity

The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) Advisory Council will hold a public meeting tomorrow, October 18, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. (ET) in Tallahassee.  The agenda includes a vote to approve the October 2016 Estimated FHCF Claims-Paying Capacity.  A financial market update also will be given.

The live audio is a one-way communication only.  Those wishing to speak during the meeting must use the conference number.

Should a hearing be held tomorrow morning at its scheduled time of 9 a.m. on proposed changes to Rule 19-8.010, “Reimbursement Contract,” any comments received at that time will be discussed by the FHCF Advisory Council during its afternoon meeting.

During the Advisory Council meeting, FHCF Chief Operating Officer Anne Bert will provide an update on current FHCF issues and activities, including updates for Hurricanes Hermine and Matthew, and an update on the FHCF Examination Programs.

Another FHCF meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. (ET) as a conference call for rulemaking approval for Rule 19-8.029, “Insurer Reporting Requirements (Data Call)” and Rule 19-8.030, “Insurer Responsibilities.” 

A tentative conference call has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. (ET) to be held (if a hearing is requested on Rules 19-8.029 and 19-8.030) to review any comments made on the proposed Rules.
