The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled a Rule Development Workshop on the following Rule:

FHCF Advisory Council Meeting

The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) Advisory Council will hold a follow-up Advisory Council meeting on Friday, March 27, 2009 as was determined to be necessary during the March 20 FHCF meeting.  Discussion to be continued from March 20 includes:

  • Approval of the 2009-2010 Contract Year FHCF Reimbursement Premium Formula;
  • Approval to file Rule 19-8.028: Reimbursement Premium Formula for Notice of Proposed Rulemaking;
  • To file the Reimbursement Premium Formula Rule for Adoption if no member of the public requests a timely hearing.

OIR Rule Hearing

The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued a Notice of Proposed Rule Development for the following Rule:

  • 69O-189.003:  Workers’ Compensation Application and Audit Procedures

The proposed Rule would allow electronic signatures in an application for workers’ compensation coverage, but not require them.  The proposed Rule explicitly specifies those audit procedures that, under the old Rule, were incorporated by reference to National Council on Compensation Insurance publications.  Additional audit procedures also are added.

If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule Development Workshop will be held at the time, date, and place below:

The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued a Notice of Proposed Rule Development Regarding the following Rules:

  • 69O-186.003: Title Insurance Rates
  • 69O-186.005: Premium Schedule Applicable to “Truth in Lending” and Other Endorsements

The purpose of the proposed Rules is to set appropriate rates for junior loan title insurance.

If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule Development Workshop will be held at the date, time, and place shown below:
