Jennifer C. Erdelyi has been named the March 2013 Attorney of the Month by Broward Lawyers Care (“BLC”).

Ms. Erdelyi is Of Counsel with Colodny Fass, working in the firm’s Insurance Regulatory Law and Corporate Transactional Divisions.  She regularly assists clients with a broad array of insurance-related compliance matters and regularly represents clients in diverse industries with respect to corporate matters, including business entity formation, drafting and review of corporate documents such as operating and shareholder agreements, bylaws, employment and non-competition agreements, and commercial transactions.

Ms. Erdelyi joined Broward Lawyers Care in 2011 when the Tracey McPharlin Dependency Project was launched.  She has been an invaluable supporter and advocate for the Project, and currently is working on her fourth pro bono case for the Project, representing the interests of a child in the foster care system.

Ms. Erdelyi earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2005.  She also is a member of the Florida Bar 17th Circuit Grievance Committee “B,” and serves on the Board of Directors of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association.  In addition, Jennifer serves on the Board of Trustees for the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre and has served on the Host Committee for LAS and CCLA’s “For the Public Good” annual gala for the past several years.

The BLC described Ms. Erdelyi’s contributions as “invaluable” over the years, calling her eagerness to take new cases in an area of law outside of her regular practice area “an inspiration.”

“The BLC is fortunate to have attorneys like Jennifer who truly make a difference!,” the BLC stated in a formal announcement about Ms. Erdelyi’s honor.

BLC is the pro bono unit within Legal Aid Service of Broward County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida and is the recognized pro bono program in Broward County, Florida.  BLC was formed in 1983 by a joint effort of the Broward County Bar and Legal Aid.
