Fernando J. Valle is a Partner at Colodny Fass whose practice focuses on insurance regulatory matters, complex insurance litigation, and related commercial disputes. He represents insurers, managing general agents, and other industry participants in matters involving coverage issues, regulatory compliance, and appellate advocacy.

Fernando regularly advises clients before the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and the Florida Department of Financial Services on licensing, compliance, and regulatory strategy. His work also includes representing trade associations and industry groups in appellate matters, including the preparation and filing of amicus curiae briefs addressing issues shaping Florida insurance law and public policy.

In addition to his insurance practice, Fernando works with insurers and trade associations on regulatory-driven transactions and compliance-related agreements, particularly in highly regulated insurance and logistics environments. He also represents businesses operating in supply chain, logistics, and trade-driven industries, advising on regulatory risk, contractual disputes, and compliance issues related to port operations, freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution arrangements tied to Florida’s major logistics corridors.

As a trial and appellate lawyer, Fernando has handled jury and non-jury matters and has represented clients in appeals pending before Florida’s appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His litigation experience includes insurance coverage disputes, assignment-of-benefits matters, construction and real property disputes, and complex commercial litigation.

Fernando is a certified Continuing Education Instructor with the Florida Division of Insurance Agent and Agency Services. In that role, he develops and delivers accredited programs for insurance professionals on regulatory compliance, claims handling, and emerging industry trends.

He works alongside the firm’s Government Relations team on matters involving regulatory policy, legislative developments, and industry advocacy.
