The Seibels Bruce Group (“Seibels”) announced the appointment of John F. Seibert as President and Chief Executive Officer yesterday, August 6, 2013.

THE SEIBELS BRUCE GROUP, INC. APPOINTS JOHN F. SEIBERT TO PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Columbia, South Carolina – August 1, 2013 – The Seibels Bruce Group, Inc., an insurance services provider of processing, technology, and claims solutions, today announced the appointment of John F. Seibert as President and Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Seibert will succeed Mr. Michael A. Culbertson, who announced his retirement in October of 2012.

Mr. Seibert has over thirty years of experience in the insurance industry, serving in both executive and entrepreneurial roles.  Most recently, he was Chairman and CEO of NetComp Insurance Company, an internet-based workers’ compensation insurance company.  From 2000 to 2008 he was President of Capital City Insurance Company in Columbia, South Carolina.  Prior to joining Capital City, Mr. Seibert was with General Reinsurance Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut from 1980 to 2000 serving as Senior Vice President.
