Read Florida Citizens Property Insurance CEO Barry Gilway’s Rate Hearing Remarks, Presentation

Assuming no further deterioration in Florida’s assignment of benefits crisis, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation’s (“Citizens'”), average Miami-Dade premiums would rise more than 30 percent during the next four years, Citizens President and CEO Barry Gilway explained yesterday, August 23, 2017.

Mr. Gilway’s remarks were made at a Florida Office of Insurance Regulation public hearing held yesterday in North Miami for the purpose of reviewing proposed rate changes filed by Citizens earlier this year.
