PCI Names New Southeast Atlantic Region Regional Manager

Nov 20, 2009

Property Casualty Insurers Association–November 20, 2009

We are pleased to announce that Micaela Isler has joined PCI as regional manager, state government relations, effective December 8, 2009. Micaela will report to Ann Weber, vice president, state government relations and will cover the southeast Atlantic region (DC, GA, NC, SC, TN and VA).

Micaela comes to PCI with numerous years of government relations experience. Most recently, Micaela served as vice president, government relations for HSBC-North America in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., where she developed strategic initiatives to maintain favorable outcomes for corporate operations on foreclosure avoidance programs, privacy, mortgage loan originator licensing and other issues. Micaela also served as political affairs director at HSBC, where she managed state and federal political operations, including PAC management, grassroots and issue advocacy, election analysis, legal compliance and candidate fundraising. In addition, Micaela has held positions with the Texas Association of Business & Chambers of Commerce, and the Republican Party of Texas.

Micaela’s expertise will help PCI promote and protect the viability of a competitive private insurance market for the benefit of consumers and insurers and address the many threats our industry is facing. Micaela will be establishing a PCI Atlanta office.

The hiring of Micaela allows PCI to further target our resources and work to develop PCI SGR staff. Specifically, in addition to the above-referenced changes, the following will take place over the next several weeks:

  • Monique Kabitzke will continue to work with William Stander, but she will now be PCI’s regional staff responsible for AL and MS. She will continue to work in FL with William as well.
  • Effective December 8, 2009, Richard Stokes will be responsible for DE, MD, NJ and PA.
  • Effective January 1, 2010, in addition to her duties as Vice President, Industry, Regulatory and Political Affairs, Deirdre Manna will be responsible for IL.
  • Effective January 1, 2010, in addition to his responsibilities managing KY, LA, OH and WV, Greg LaCost will be responsible for WI.

Attached is a map that will hopefully help you visualize PCI SGR’s countrywide responsibilities. We have also included a chart indicating specific state and state government organization responsibilities.

Please join us in welcoming Micaela to the PCI team. Many thanks to members of the State Relations and Policy Development and Research Teams, and PCI local counsel for supporting PCI’s efforts during the last several months.
