New Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual Policies, Allowances Must Be Legislatively Ratified

Jul 24, 2015

The Florida Department of Financial Services’ Division of Workers’ Compensation (“DWC”) advised today, July 24, 2015, that it has adopted the Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual (“Manual”), 2015 Edition (Rule 69L-7.020, F.A.C.).

However, the DWC cautioned that policies and reimbursement allowances identified in the Manual will not go into effect until the Manual has been ratified by the Florida Legislature.

The purpose and effect of the adopted Rule is to update the schedule of maximum reimbursement allowances to 2014 Medicare reimbursement rates as adopted by the Three Member Panel on January 22, 2015.

The Division will provide an advisory when the Manual becomes effective.
