RE:  Reinsurance Task Force conference call Thursday, October 25,
2007 @ 10:30am Central Time

The October 25 conference call will be to discuss the meeting procedure concerning the upcoming interim meeting of the Reinsurance TF in Atlanta, GA on the afternoon of Nov. 7 and the entire day of Nov. 8, 2007. The reinsurance regulatory modernization proposal would provide a framework for mutual recognition between the U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions. The RSRD would establish principles concerning regulatory equivalence and there will also be minimum requirements that states would have to follow in order to be a port of entry for a non-U.S. reinsurer. The Reinsurance Task Force received a number of comment letters which will each be addressed by the Task Force in Atlanta. The comment letters can be found at www.naic.org, click on Committees & Activities, scroll down to Financial Condition E-Committee, click on Reinsurance Task Force.
