NAIC National Catastrophe Risk Plan White Paper Released in Advance of Fall National Meeting

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) Catastrophe Insurance Working Group (“Working Group”) has released a draft white paper entitled “Natural Catastrophe Risk: Creating a Comprehensive National Plan.” To view the document, click here.
This draft white paper is scheduled to be discussed at the September 23 Working Group meeting to be held during the NAIC Fall 2008 National Meeting in Washington, D.C.

After the September 23 meeting and discussion, interested parties will have 14 days to provide comments.
Committee Chairman Kevin McCarty then will schedule a Working Group meeting or a conference call to finalize and vote on the document.
