Mike Colodny Named to Florida Underwriter Magazine’s New Statewide Editorial Advisory Board on Florida Insurance Markets

Colodny Fass Founder Mike Colodny has been named to Florida Underwriter Magazine’s New Statewide Editorial Advisory Board on Florida insurance markets.

“To continue to meet our mission as the leading news source for Florida agents and brokers, we invited a panel of experts to join our newly created editorial advisory board,” explained Florida Underwriter Editor Joan Collier.  “We sought recognized professionals in the Florida insurance industry whose achievements, contributions and judgment are known and valued.”

Joining Mr. Colodny on Florida Underwriter’s Advisory Board are Property Casualty Insurers Association of America Assistant Vice President and Regional Manager William Stander, along with the Insurance Information Institute’s Lynn McChristian.

With nearly 40 years of legal experience, Mr. Colodny represents insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions and major corporations in governmental and corporate matters, insurance regulatory work and before government agencies and quasi-judicial public boards and commissions.   As former General Counsel for the Florida Residential Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association and its successor, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, he was instrumental in negotiating billions of dollars in catastrophe claims funding and financing, thereby assuring the Association’s ability to serve policyholders in the wake of a major hurricane.
