Miami Shores Votes Colodny Fass Human Resources Manager Betsy Heagle To Village Pension Board

Betsy Heagle, a Miami Shores resident and Human Resources Manager at the law firm of Colodny Fass, was elected to the Village of Miami Shores General Employee Pension Board of Directors by the Village Council on October 7, 2009.
As a Board Member, she will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the Pension Plan, adopting related investment policies, approving Village disability and retirement benefits and reviewing the Plan’s assets.
“Betsy is an energetic team builder,” said Mike Colodny, who served the neighboring City of North Miami as Mayor for four terms. “She is attuned to the needs of people and her extensive experience in structuring and negotiating employment benefit plans will prove invaluable to the growth of Miami Shores’ Pension Fund.”
Miami Shores’ General Employee Pension Board is made up of seven members, which include the Mayor, Village Manager and a general employee. The other members are appointed by the Village Council for a two-year term. Board meetings are held on a quarterly basis at Village Hall.
