Lee gives green light to red-light camera

Cameras soon will show if you have run a red light in Fort Myers at Colonial Boulevard and Summerlin Road.
With no formal vote, Lee County commissioners agreed today to install a camera at the intersection. No decision was made on when the camera will be installed.

From 2005 to 2007, there were eight fatalities attributed to red-light running in the county, according to statistics.
