Jeremy C. Stein and Jerome H. Powell were sworn in today, June 25, 2012 to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington D.C.:

Jeremy C. Stein and Jerome H. Powell were formally sworn in as members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System at a ceremony Monday in the atrium of the Board’s main building in Washington.
Friends, family and Board employees attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke.
Governor Stein assumed his position on May 30, and Governor Powell assumed his position on May 25, following their confirmation by the Senate on May 17. Governor Stein’s term expires January 31, 2018. Governor Powell’s term expires January 31, 2014.
