Georgia Emergency Rule on Federal Health Insurance Exchange Navigators’ Training, Licensure Effective July 3, 2013

On October 1, 2013, Georgia residents will be eligible to purchase health insurance plans through federally-operated exchanges under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, with “navigators” employed to direct individuals and companies to policies.  An Emergency Rule on state regulation of navigators’ training, licensure and other requirements became effective on July 3, 2013 and will remain so for 120 days.
