FPCA: SCHIP Mandatory Liability Insurer Reporting Update–March 23

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) posted an “Alert” update to the March 16, 2009-issued Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (“SCHIP”) V1.0 User Guide Supplemental on Liability Insurance (including Self-Insurance), No-Fault Insurance and Workers’ Compensation (“Liability Insurance”). The Alert addresses the following issues:
- Extended Permissible Testing Period
- Interim Reporting Threshold
- Registration Information
- Error in the Field Descriptions on the TIN Reference File in the SCHIP User Guide for Liability Insurance
- HEW Software
