Join Senator Fasano and Florida’s consumers on August 16th to protest Citizens proposed rate increases

Senator Mike Fasano and Policyholders of Florida will be lining up along Little Road in front of the Pasco County Government Center (7530 Little Road, New Port Richey 34654)  on August 16, 2011 from 4-6 PM to wave signs and express their opposition to the proposed sinkhole rate increases sought by Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.  State Senator Mike Fasano invites all consumers to make a sign and come out and join him.

“It is time for our governor, chief financial officer and the decision makers at the Office of Insurance Regulation to get the message that people can’t afford the outrageous premiums Citizens is seeking,” Senator Fasano states.  “Please join me on August 16th and let Tallahassee know that these rates are unacceptable.”

Senator Fasano not only voted against the legislation that allowed Citizens to request the increase but was a vocal opponent of the bill.  He invites all who agree with him to come out and let their voices be heard.
