FPCA Homeowners Division Meeting: Friday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m.

The next Florida Property Casualty Association (“FPCA”) Homeowners Division meeting will be held via teleconference on Friday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m.  The call-in number for this meeting is:  800.369.1285; conference code:  18619#.

An agenda and materials for this meeting, as well as minutes from the July 21 meeting, are attached.

The purpose of the meeting is to determine the FPCA’s priority issues regarding the 2010 Legislative Session and gather alternative rate deregulation proposals in advance of an upcoming meeting with State Representative Bryan Nelson.

Upcoming FPCA Homeowners Division meetings in Tallahassee include:

• Tuesday, October 6 at 9:00 a.m. – FPCA meeting with State Representative Bryan Nelson regarding challenges arising from the implementation of House Bill 1495 and alternatives to rate deregulation proposals such as HB 1171.
• Thursday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m. – FPCA meeting with Florida Senate Special Counsel Richard Herring regarding homeowners’ insurance issues.
