FPCA: Accident Response Fee Bill Passes House Military and Local Affairs Policy Committee

An amended version of CS/HB 1043 relating to First Responder Services by State Representative Nick Thompson was passed by the House Military and Local Affairs Policy Committee on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 by 9(Y)-6(N). The bill would prohibit counties and municipalities from imposing taxes, charging fees, or seeking reimbursement for costs relating to motor vehicle accidents.
