Florida’s 2010 Regular Legislative Session: A Summary of Insurance Major Insurance-Related Bills

May 7, 2010

Dozens of insurance-related bills were filed during Florida’s 2010 Regular Legislative Session; however, only some of them were actually passed.

As the 2010 Session drew to a close, various components of many of these doomed bills were distilled and amended onto a select group of insurance bills that ultimately were successful.  As usual, most of this activity occurred during the last few days of the Session.

A comprehensive report on the 2010 Session’s insurance-related activities by the law and governmental consulting firm of Colodny Fass can be accessed by clicking here.

The final text of each bill is accessible by clicking on the hyperlinks below.   Additional information, which includes the complete legislative history on individual bills, is available on Florida’s public legislative Web site (www.leg.state.fl.us).
