Florida Senate Omnibus Insurance Package Would Strike Everything from SB 2044; Senate Banking and Insurance Committee Meets March 3

The Florida Senate’s omnibus property insurance package was released today, March 1, 2010, and will be considered during the March 3 Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance (“Committee”) as a strike-everything amendment to Senate Bill 2044 by Senator Garrett Richter. A copy of the omnibus package amendment is attached for review.
Representing a collaboration between the Senate President’s Office and Senator Richter, the Committee Chairman, the amendment is a companion to House Bill 1341 by State Representative Bryan Nelson, although it is not identical.
