Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance Meeting Now; House Insurance Subcommittee Meets Thursday

Florida legislative insurance committees meet this week, beginning with the Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance, which convened today, October 10, 2017, at 10 a.m. (ET).

In addition to consideration of a bill relating to Direct Primary Care by Tom Lee, senators will hear presentations on hurricane insurance challenges, as well as discuss property insurance post-loss assignment of benefits issues.

House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee Meets Thursday

The Florida House of Representatives’ Insurance and Banking Subcommittee is scheduled to meet on Thursday, October 12.  The agenda, which centers around a property insurance update, also includes reports from the Florida Department of Financial Services, Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund, and Citizen Property Insurance Corporation.
