Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Publishes 2015-2016 Regulatory Plan

Oct 5, 2015

Revisions to Florida’s insurance holding company laws will be the primary focus for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s 2015-2016 Fiscal Year, the agency reported in its Regulatory Plan (“Plan”) published on October 1, 2015.

Additional scheduled rulemaking activities for the year include the repeal of regulations relating to public adjusters and surplus lines due to statutory changes.

The OIR also plans to amend a slate of rules to allow only the corresponding filing of electronic documents to both streamline agency efficiency and bring it into compliance with existing practice and statutory requirements.
