Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Actuary Robert Lee Appointed to Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology; FCHLPM to Review Model Submissions at December 17 Meeting

The Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“FCHLPM”) announced today, November 8, 2012, that a vacant FCHLPM seat has been filled by Robert Lee, a Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) actuary. A complete membership list is attached in PDF format.

Under Section 627.0628(2)(b), F.S., one seat on the eleven-member FCHLPM must be filled by an employee of the OIR, “. . .who is an actuary responsible for property insurance rate filings and who is appointed by the director of the office.”

In addition, the FCHLPM scheduled a December 17 meeting to review model submissions received under the Standards and Acceptability Process for 2011, and to address other business.  Additional information is forthcoming.
