Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Robin Smith Westcott Resigns for Private Sector Position

In a September 24, 2013 letter to Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, Robin Smith Westcott announced her resignation from her position as Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate.

The information became public today as Gray Rohrer of the Florida Current, a legislative news service, reported this morning that Ms. Westcott will be taking a position as Vice President of Governmental Affairs for American Association of Insurance Services, a data-gathering and rating industry group.  More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

A copy of Ms. Westcott’s resignation letter is attached for review.
