Tuesday, January 10

  • Florida Division of Agent and Agency Services Rule Development Workshop; 9:30 a.m.  Proposed Rules 69B-211.041 “Definitions” and 69B-211.042 “Effect of Law Enforcement Records on Applications for Licensure” would incorporate 2011 statutory changes to Section 626.207, F.S., which altered the way an insurance representative licensure applicant’s criminal history affects the application.  To view the hearing notice, click here.
  • Florida Surplus Lines Service Office (“FSLSO”) meeting; 10:00 a.m.  A meeting of either the FSLSO Board of Governors or National Clearinghouse Committee is scheduled.  To view the meeting notice, click here.

Thursday, January 12

  • Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Public Rate Hearing: Southern Oak Insurance Company; 9:00 a.m.  Southern Oak Insurance Company has requested a 19.1 percent overall rate increase for its dwelling fire line of coverage.  The proposed rate increase would be effective February 15, 2012 for new business and July 31, 2012 for renewal business.
